Referral Program Terms

Share your PacketStream link and earn rewards when the people you refer buy or share bandwidth. These terms explain what you earn, what the people you refer receive, and the rules for both.

1. About these terms

These Referral Program Terms (“Referral Terms”) are an agreement between you and PacketStream Inc. (“PacketStream,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They cover three rewards:

• Customer referral credit (Section 3): credit to spend on PacketStream when customers you refer make deposits.
• The first-deposit bonus (Section 4): bonus credit for a referred customer on their first PayPal or card deposit.
• The Packeter referral bonus (Section 7): a limited-time reward when people you refer share bandwidth.

These Referral Terms add to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which also apply. Approved affiliates earn cash commission under the Affiliate Program Terms instead of customer referral credit, as Section 3 explains. Customer referral credit and the first-deposit bonus started on October 27, 2026 at 00:00 UTC (the “launch date”).

2. Your referral link

Every PacketStream account has a referral link. It works on any packetstream.io page.

• How a referral is recorded. When a signed-out visitor opens your link, we store your referral code in a cookie in their browser for 60 days. If they create an account in that browser within those 60 days, the account is recorded as your referral.
• First touch. If the browser already holds a referral code, a later link, whether yours or another person’s, does not replace it.
• Fixed at signup. A referral is recorded once, when the account is created, and is not changed afterwards. We may correct a referral that was recorded in error or that is the subject of a dispute; a correction applies only to rewards on later deposits and earnings.
• What is not recorded. Opening a link while signed in to PacketStream records nothing. We cannot credit a signup made in a different browser or device, after the cookie has expired, or after the visitor has cleared or blocked cookies. Reseller subaccounts are never referrals.

3. Customer referral credit

• Who earns it. Any account holder whose referral becomes a paying customer, including Packeters and people whose affiliate application is pending or was declined, unless the affiliate rule below applies.
• Which customers count. Only customers who created their account through your link on or after the launch date. Customers who signed up before the launch date never earn you referral credit, even if they first deposit later. Your own accounts, and new accounts created by people who already have a PacketStream account, never count.
• Amount. 10% of each qualifying deposit the referred customer makes within 12 months after creating their account, up to $2,000 of credit per referred customer. Deposits after the 12 months earn nothing.
• Qualifying deposits. A qualifying deposit is a payment that adds funds to the referred customer’s PacketStream balance and is processed by Stripe (such as a card payment) or PayPal. Cryptocurrency payments, bank transfers made directly to PacketStream, promotional or trial credit, referral credit and bonuses, transfers from a reseller, and funds added any other way are not qualifying deposits.
• When it arrives. Credit from a deposit is pending for 30 days after that deposit and is then added to your balance. If you have not made a payment yet, the credit stays pending until your first payment.
• Affiliates. Whether a referred customer’s deposits earn you customer referral credit or affiliate commission is decided once, at that customer’s first qualifying deposit. If you are an approved affiliate at that moment, they earn commission under the Affiliate Program Terms; otherwise they earn customer referral credit under these Referral Terms. The decision does not change afterwards, including if you become an affiliate later.
• Reversals. If a deposit is refunded or charged back, or we ban the referred customer’s account, we cancel pending credit from that deposit, and we may take back credit from it that was already added to your balance.

The rate, cap and window that apply to a referred customer are those in force at that customer’s first qualifying deposit.

4. First-deposit bonus for referred customers

• If you created your account through a referral link on or after the launch date, you receive bonus credit of 10% of your first qualifying deposit (as defined in Section 3). There is no maximum.
• The bonus applies whether the person who referred you earns customer referral credit or affiliate commission.
• It is given once per account, on your first deposit processed by Stripe or PayPal, and is added to your balance when that deposit completes. An earlier cryptocurrency or bank-transfer deposit does not use it up. It is not available on an additional account created by someone who already has a PacketStream account.
• If that deposit is refunded or charged back, or we ban your account, we may take back the bonus.

5. Linked accounts

No customer referral credit and no first-deposit bonus is given when the referrer and the referred customer appear to be the same person, or appear linked, for example by sharing an email address, payment account, PayPal address or the internet connection used to sign up. We check this automatically using account, payment and signup information we already hold, and withhold both rewards when accounts appear linked. For affiliate commission, Section 5 of the Affiliate Program Terms applies instead.

6. Using credit

• Customer referral credit and the first-deposit bonus are added to your account balance. They pay for PacketStream services billed from that balance, such as proxy bandwidth and the Search and Fetch APIs.
• Credit is for spending only. It can never be withdrawn, cashed out, transferred to another account or exchanged for money, and it is not part of the eligible balance for cashouts under Section 5 of the Terms of Service.
• Earning credit does not change your account type. A Packeter who earns credit remains a Packeter, and the credit stays in their account to use if they start buying PacketStream services.
• Credit has no cash value. Unused credit is lost if your account is closed.

7. Limited-time Packeter referral bonus

• When a person who signed up through your link shares bandwidth as a Packeter, we add an amount equal to 20% of the bandwidth earnings credited to them to your referral earnings, as a limited-time bonus. PacketStream pays this bonus; it does not reduce their earnings.
• If your account can cash out under Section 5 of the Terms of Service, referral earnings are withdrawn together with bandwidth earnings under that section, including its minimum, fee and right to withhold or reverse earnings.
• This bonus runs separately from customer referral credit and affiliate commission. A person you refer who both shares bandwidth and buys can earn you both. The launch date and the 12-month window in Sections 3 and 4 do not apply to it.
• The 20% rate is a limited-time offer. We may change the rate or end the bonus by updating this page. A change applies only to earnings credited after it; referral earnings already credited are not affected.

8. Rules for customer referral credit

These rules apply to customer referral credit and the first-deposit bonus. We may withhold or take back credit or a bonus earned in breach of them.

• Do not refer yourself, or create or use additional accounts to earn credit or a bonus.
• Do not spam, post your link where a site’s or community’s rules forbid it, or make false or misleading claims about PacketStream.
• Do not offer people money, coupon codes or other rewards that we have not approved for signing up or depositing. You may describe the first-deposit bonus in Section 4 accurately.

The Terms of Service, including Section 7, apply to every referral. Whichever reward applies, the law may require you to tell people you receive a reward when you share your link publicly, for example: “I get PacketStream credit if you sign up through this link.”

9. Changes to these terms

We may change these Referral Terms or end customer referral credit or the first-deposit bonus. We will post the change on this page at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless the law requires it sooner or the change is needed to stop fraud or abuse. A change to the customer referral credit rate, cap or window applies only to referred customers whose first qualifying deposit is made after the change takes effect. The Packeter referral bonus may change as described in Section 7.
