PacketStream is the first of its kind peer-to-peer proxy network. Packeters are compensated for sharing bandwidth on the PacketStream network and allowing users all over the world have access to content on the internet through our secure network. Customers can purchase bandwidth and browse the web from residential IPs to protect their browsing privacy.

PacketStream works because of you! The PacketStream network routes customer traffic through PacketStream users allowing for increased privacy and access to geo-restricted content while browsing the web. Packeters on the PacketStream network share their bandwidth with PacketStream customers. The website/service receiving HTTP requests sees requests coming from real residential IPs and allows access to content that would otherwise be blocked if it had been requested from traditional datacenter VPNs or proxy networks.

PacketStream allows customers to access web content that might otherwise be blocked or modified when using a traditional VPN or proxy service.

Residential use-cases include:

Many websites use IP lookup databases to determine a visitor's geolocation and whether the request is from a residential or datacenter IP. If traffic is determined to be from a restricted region or from a non-residential IP address, content is often blocked or restricted. In some cases access is allowed but deceiving information is returned to datacenter IP addresses to limit the effectiveness of automated access and scraping. PacketStream allows customers to relay their web requests through residential IP addresses to avoid these restrictions.

A proxy client making HTTPS requests to an endpoint first initiates a TLS handshake that negotiates encryption keys directly with the endpoint server before any data is transmitted. The decryption key is never transmitted across the network and cannot be obtained by any Packeter relaying data in the middle. It's considered best practice to avoid relaying sensitive data to endpoints that don't support secure requests. For more information on Transport Layer Security, see Wikipedia .

The target website/service can only see the IP address of the Packeter relaying the request. The PacketStream tunnel doesn't provide 'X-Forwarded-For' or any similar HTTP request headers that would expose a customer's IP address. The request appears like a normal HTTP request with no proxy identifiers.

Any legal and legitimate use of our service that does not violate any laws or the PacketStream Terms of Service is allowed. Certain automated use-cases such as web scraping may conflict with the Terms of Service of the website/service being requested. Customers should ensure that their use case does not violate the ToS of the service they are using.

All major countries are available. You can specify which country to tunnel your traffic through. City & State level targeting are coming soon.

PacketStream provides both randomized (rotates with every request) and static IPs. You can select which method you wish to use as part of the request.

PacketStream currently provides HTTP and HTTPS proxies. SOCKS5 is coming soon. Any browser, operating system, or automation tools that support HTTP proxy requests are compatible with PacketStream.

PacketStream accepts credit card payments via Stripe, $50 minimum payment. We also accept PayPal payments, $50 minimum payment.

Yes. PacketStream customers can whitelabel and resell residential proxy services to their own customers through the PacketStream Reseller API. Documentation for the Reseller API is available on Postman.

It's easy! Sign up for PacketStream on our website and add payment info in the Deposit section of the dashboard. Any browser, operating system, or automation tools that support HTTP proxy requests are compatible with PacketStream.

Packeters make the PacketStream network work. And who works for free? PacketStream customers pay to use the PacketStream network and we pay our Packeters for enabling our customers to surf the web securely and privately.

Close the PacketStream Client to disable bandwidth sharing until you open the app again.

MacOS Users can right-click the PacketStream Client app icon and select 'Move to Trash' to uninstall.

Windows users can uninstall the PacketStream Client from the 'Add/Remove Programs' section of the Windows control panel.

Linux users can uninstall the PacketStream Client by stopping the 'watchtower' and 'psclient' docker processes.

Please limit installations to one computer per IP address. You may install PacketStream on multiple computers if they are using unique IP addresses.

It's easy! Sign up for PacketStream on our website and download the PacketStream Client from the download section of the dashboard. After that you'll be prompted to download the PacketStream app. Once installed login to your account and you'll start earning credits.

PacketStream uses PayPal to process customer payouts. Minimum cashout amount is $5.00. A 3% fee is applied to cashouts.

Proxy Support

A residential proxy is a web proxy relay through an IP address assigned by an Internet Service Provider (ISP) to a residential customer. Endpoints and websites accessed through a residential proxy see the requests originating from a residential broadband customer. Businesses use PacketStream's residential proxy network to improve the privacy of their business intelligence tooling and increase request success rates.

PacketStream's 'Randomize IP' feature will rotate residential IPs after each completed request to the proxy. A new IP will be issued for each request made at random. This option works best for most use-cases.

PacketStream's 'Sticky IP' feature will assign a single static residential IP address that can be re-used for multiple connections for the duration of the session. Sticky IPs remaign static and assigned until the session is disconnected. This option works best when you need a static, non-changing residential IP address for multiple requests.

A Sticky IP allows you to reuse a static residential IP address as long as needed. Sticky IPs may stop working if the residential ISP customer goes offline. If the targeted Sticky IP goes offline and re-enters our pool the session will begin working as normal again. Sticky IP sessions may expire if no requests are made for a long period of time. We recommend using automation software to make a small request every 15 minutes if you wish to retain a session for a long period of time.

You can review bandwidth consumption for the last 14 days by logging into your account and viewing the charts provided in the PacketStream customer dashboard.
